Artist Bio

Greg Weeks is an American singer-songwriter based in Philadelphia. His music is influenced by acid-folk, prog rock and horror cinema amongst other varying styles. Weeks is best known as a founding member of the psychedelic folk-rock band Espers, and is also a member of The Valerie Project (a tribute to Jaromil Jires' 1970 film Valerie and Her Week of Wonders), who performed at Jarvis Cocker's Meltdown festival in 2007.

Weeks has recently recorded with Marissa Nadler and also recently founded the record label Language of Stone, an imprint of Drag City. Greg Weeks’ most recent record ‘The Hive’ was released on Wichita in October 2008.

Supporting are Festival from Chicago; sisters Lindsay and Alexis Powell. Be it tribal drone, backwards spirituals, basement psychedelia, hilltop roots romp… whatever element Festival touch upon filters through the genetics of sisterly songs. Their debut record ‘Come Arrow Come!’ was released in Spring 2008 on Language of Stone.
